Our aqua blue 9', 8wt, 4-piece fly rod blank is a saltwater series blank made from carbon fiber. It is a great choice for large speckled trout, bones and especially big reds in the marsh flats. With its medium fast action, it has the flex, strength and accuracy you want to put the fly into schools from your boat. Aqua Blue Fly Rod Blank
Bought this blank from Get Bent in both 8 and 10 weights, what a rod! I used the guide spacing from a Scott Tidal with single foot guides. I use the 8 weight 99% of the time for striped bass and reds when I travel, and use the 10 weight for juvie tarpon and jacks of fishing big surf. The 8 paired with a true 8 weight line can put out 90' with 3 false casts effortlessly. The 10 weight matches beautifully with a Wulff Bermuda Triangle 9 weight (which is over-weighted) and is an absolute rocket. I loaned it to a friend who has minimal casting experience and within 15 minutes he was bombing out casts to stripers. Great blanks and for the price the rods rival most high end blanks with this action.
