Fly Rod Kit – Matte Green 9’, 5wt, 4pc. One of our most popular blanks! Our matte green 9’, 5wt, 4pc fly rod blank makes a great rod for the entry level beginner, as well as the extremely experienced angler. Kit includes, rod blank, 7” AAA full wells cork grip-with 22mm inlet, a Chrome up-locking fly rod reel seat with cocobolo wood insert, chrome snake guide set, 2 stripping guides, and 9.0 chrome winding check. Thread and glue are not included.

Great kit for beginners as well as those with epoxy under their nails!

    I was looking at the kit and before I knew it, it was out of stock. I called GB Fly Shop and they helped a very similar kit together for me. I'm new and it was very helpful!

    My first rod build

    Our local club offered a rod building workshop. I called GB and spoke to Chris. She helped me with a 9’ 5wt 4pc kit. Super helpful to me as I had no clue how to select the many options of components that go into building a rod. I’ve got the cork, reel seat, butt and tip guide glued, all stripping and snake guides are wrapped and I’m ready to wrap ferrules, then epoxy. Can’t wait to catch a trout on my custom built rod! Already considering my next rod kit!
