I just purchased this fly rod as a quick replacement for the Get Bent Fly Shop 9ft 5wt which I had and unfortunately smashed in a car door recently. I loved that rod but I have to admit, I was surprised at how smooth this rod performs. First time out, I caught two smallmouth between 17"-18" that new how to fight and this rod performed like a champ. Highly recommend!!

Don't be scared off by the lack of name recognition for this fly rod. I recently purchased this rod and the fast action performance of this rod surprised me. I was able to cast this rod with such precision and accuracy. I also added a weighted forward fly line, which added greater distance than I was expecting. For the price, getting the rod, plus rod sock and travel tube was such a great value in my option. If you are looking for a new rod at a great value, consider this one for sure. 5 stars for me.
