The matte black 9’, 5wt, 4-piece carbon fiber fly rod blank is made from 40T Carbon (IM12), which gives is a lighter weight with more flexible durability. This is from our series of fast action matte black blanks. It’s highly accurate and very responsible. This blank is perfect for a wide range of fish from small Brooks to big Rainbows. It features a tip over butt ferrules system and comes in its own black rod sock.

    This is a wonderful blank. While I'm just a hobby builder, I've now been doing it for 4 decades. I have built on Sage, T&T, Loomis, and other high dollar blanks. I've now built about 6 rods with GB blanks.This blank is as good as any I've ever built with. And now I've caught multiple trout on it and it built into a fantastic rod. Fantastic blank and fantastic value.
