GB Fly Shop matt olive 13’, 7/8wt, 4-piece carbon fiber spey rod blank is a medium-fast action blank that is powerful, accurate, and especially caster-friendly. The rugged carbon construction allows this blank to remain durable throughout many seasons on the water.     I used it for a float rod for steelhead. It worked perfectly. Soft upper with enough backbone to get fish to the net.

    I built a rod from this blank last summer and fished it in British Columbia last fall. Casts like a dream, and landed five steelhead. Plenty of backbone for a 13 foot rod.
